What do you enjoy most about your job?

I really like to research things, taking a deep look into a client’s circumstances to find out where we can save them money or give them a better investment experience is what I enjoy most about the job.

How do you like to spend your time outside of work?

Performing improv comedy, playing dungeons and dragons, eating at new restaurants, making cocktails, walking my dog, and going away on weekend breaks with my wife in our campervan.

One thing that is guaranteed to make your day better…

My wife doing something silly like singing the wrong words to a song or doing a weird character voice, it’s guaranteed to make me smile. Also cake, cake makes everything better.

What made you decide to do the work you’re currently doing?

When I was taking the R0 exams to complete my diploma, my plan was to become an adviser but after I finished my exams I started hearing more about paraplanning. I found the focus on research and technical knowledge suited my skills and personality well so decided to pursue a paraplanner job.

What is one personal rule that you never break?

If I see my dog do a stretch, I have to say (out loud), “Big stretch!”

What would your specialist subject be on Mastermind?

Terry Pratchett’s Discworld novels.
